you can't isolate and fix your trust issues.

Now it doesn't have to be that it's the relationship with the person who hurt you,

but it has to be that we are willing to take the risk of some relationship

because we can only work on repairing our trust issues in the

context of some relationship. So I think what is trust? Trust is the very

fabric of a relationship where we desire safety and connection.

We have to have connection in that relationship but connection's risky.

We have to have safety in the relationship or else we're going to not

want that connection. So both of those things have to work hand in hand.
