always see that and assume that there's more to it when i talk to them so whenever i talk to a guy

they usually talk to me with the intention of pursuing me romantically whereas i just want

friendship i never say anything to suggest i am romantically interested i just talk to them

the way i talk to all my other

friends and I make a conscious effort to not sound like I'm flirting and shut down or redirect any

flirtation's remarks they throw at me. And I decline date slash meeting up when they suggest it

or avoid conversation or avoid that conversation altogether. I'm tired of guys I'm not interested in professing their feelings for me and I want to be someone a guy can see as a friend rather than just a girl they can claim.
