Do Utah fans already hate the Big 12?

Well, maybe hate is too strong a word, but I think it's safe to say consensus

appears to be that Utah fans are not thrilled to be joining this conference in just

a few short weeks.

I'm Pete Mundo, Heartland College Sports.

It is great to be here with you as we roll through another show covering the Big 12

conference.

So part of me understands it.

Part of me is like, you know, Utah's been kind of out there in that old Mountain West,

Pact 12, exceeding expectations, not really focused on what's going on here in the heartland.

Utah saw their friends at Oregon, at Washington, head out to the Big Ten, right?

They saw that change dramatically. They saw that with USC and UCLA.

And they sat there and they said, what about us?

Why not us?

Are we not good enough?

And now the Utah Uts come to the Big 12 coming up on July 1st and they're skeptical.

And they view this league as just a bunch of truck stops and the heartland of America and, you know,

that's all this league is.

They don't know much about it.

I think a large part of their fans, at least the loud ones, think they're going to come in here

and just absolutely dominate the Big 12.

And they might win the league this year.
