senior writer. I am back from the north, north central woods of Wisconsin, where I visit

my kids at their summer camp in real Trump country. That is some Trump country up there.

Let me tell you, and if I had been paying enough attention in 2016, I would have known that

Trump wasn't going to win because that the Trumpian emanations from Eagle River and Villas County

were so profound that that was a message that the MSM and the swamp and everything,

weren't going to stop that tide of wave. So if it holds, then 2020 is a lock, right?

Yeah, although there wasn't, obviously it's 2019, so there was no reason for Trump branding

to be around everywhere. It didn't feel the same. I don't think I'm sure it will go 70% for Trump

again, but it didn't have the vivid quality that it had had the first time around. And then,

of course, this raises the interesting specter of the events around the parade on July 4th.

And the question offered by my, I know, my somewhat disgraced guru, but nonetheless,

very smart guy Mark Halperin, that Trump and the White House pulled off a massive PR coup

by fainting toward fascism and then simply delivering a wonderfully patriotic, you know,

ra ra let love America event featuring a very good speech by Trump. And the most interesting aspect
