Hello, my friends. Welcome back to the Morning Mind Set.

Carrie Green here. I am a retired pastor who just doesn't really want to retire.

I just want to keep teaching the Word of God because it's so full of precious truth

that not only empowers us for life, but enables us to experience connection

with the God of the universe. I hope you enjoy the message of God as it comes

through the morning mind set each day. It's our opportunity to get our minds

aligned with the truth of God. I'm hitting the pause button on our study

of the Book of Proverbs. We've just gotten through chapter 17.

But I want to address a new topic that's really not all that new,

but it's one that feels very needed in the day and agent which we live.

And that is the topic of anxiety. Now the minute I say that word,

I think everybody in one way or another can raise their hand and say,

yep, that's me. I feel it in this area, that area, this area.

We could just list off a number of realms within our lives where anxiety is present.

They may have to do with finances. They may have to do the job.

They have to do with an adult child or a younger child who's spinning out of control.

It may have to do with an illness. It may have to do with the world seen

and the situation is going on like viruses spanning the globe and tensions

in European countries and in all these kinds of things.

Our opportunities for us to be anxious.

But our Lord God says something different to us as followers of Christ.

He says we have reason not to be anxious. In fact, we are commanded in Scripture
