Harriet. Hi, my name is Harriet and my question is, how many trees are there in Yosemite, National Park in California?

How many trees are there in the Yosemite Park? Yosemite, it's a national park in California, over in the United States of America.

It's thought that humans were first there around 10,000 years ago, and it's world famous.

Not just for its size, 748,000 acres, which is over 1,000 square miles.

It's enormous, but also, it's biological diversity.

There's so much in it.

Huge cliffs, waterfalls, streams, massive trees,

lakes, mountains, glaciers, meadows. It's all going on and such an abundance of different creatures

live there too. We're here about the trees though, right, Harriet? Well there are around 35 species of

trees there that are really only found naturally and

originally in Yosemite. You've got giant sequoia, the ponderosa pine, that's there, the sugar

pine, the Jeffrey pine, the lodgepole pine, the incense cedar, so many different trees.

As for the number of all of them, well, we don't really know.
