| 1:00.0 | The public service unions negotiate on behalf of these workers for their wages, benefits, and working conditions. |
| 1:07.0 | And who's on the other side of the bargaining table? |
| 1:10.0 | Our elected representatives, the people in charge of spending the money we pay to government in taxes. |
| 1:16.0 | Think about this for a moment, and you will immediately realize |
| 1:20.0 | that the goal of the public employee unions is to negotiate with union-friendly politicians. |
| 1:26.0 | And the way to get friendly with the politician is to help him get elected, which is exactly what the unions do. |
| 1:32.0 | First, they have a lot of money. |
| 1:34.0 | In many states working for the government is a closed shop. |
| 1:38.0 | That is, to work for the government you have to pay dues to the union. |
