Welcome in to the DNVR Avalanche podcast. I'm Ruto. That's Megan. That's Eric. It was media today for the Colorado Avalanche today. Both of these two were down at there interviewing everybody under the sun. A lot to get to, to be honest. I wanted to start here. Devon Taves. How seriously are we taking the comments that he wants to spend the rest of his career in Colorado?

Is that I'm in front of the cameras and saying what you're supposed to say?

Or is that, no, he actually wants to be here.

He's going to find a way to stay.

It's what I've heard murmurs of beyond this conversation, that there is an incentive to stay.

Now, obviously, there are a lot of other factors to that conversation, including Taves admitting himself that it is a business at the end of the day.

This is a man with a family to think of as well.

And so looking at this stage of the career onward to securing your financial future is of the utmost

important. So I don't discount any of those things to be true. But there is a genuine happiness

playing in Colorado that I believe will motivate both parties to come to an agreement if possible.

And I still believe that. And I think that there's a lot of genuity and what he's saying in the press or two about wanting to stay in Colorado. And you put it best when you said,

I'd also like to spend the rest of my career playing alongside Kilma Car. So I think there's

truth to where the abs are at in their compete window. And Taze recognizes that his chances

for another cup are probably pretty good here in Colorado for years to come.

And that's another reason to stay.

It's a great fit for him, right?

I mean, we know that.
