For months, the media and the public have been focused on what's going to happen on

Election Day November 3rd.

But not Tom Perez, the chairman of the Democratic National Committee.

He, like political operatives on both sides, have been keeping an extraordinary close eye

on early voting and for good reason.

By some estimates, more than 50 million Americans have already cast their ballots, either by

mail or by showing up at polling stations that have opened weeks before the election.

It's an astounding number that could change everybody's calculations about what's going

to happen Election Night.
