0:28.6	abandoning the party because Trump. So the latest was senator from Ohio, Rob Portman, who basically
0:37.2	cannot tolerate that the spirit of Trump still animates the GOP and he's going to step down.
0:45.1	And I for one saw this coming from the beginning that the whole point of Trump was a to to undermine any ideological principles in the Republican Party
0:56.9	that even were paid lip service to and to punish people for
1:00.2	trying to step outside the establishment,
1:03.8	which I think was a direct response to Ron Paul
1:07.4	gaining some headway and then really not
1:09.6	knowing what to do with it because he always
1:11.5	had the moral high ground on ideology. So they took a guy who
1:15.1	galvanized them, who spoke truth to power, who could get people to rally around him as a personality, and they took out all the ideology and instead just put
1:26.2	in stuff that's not relevant, not important and the GOP is still using him as an excuse to abandon the party because those people have taken over.
1:38.7	And there's a lot more to this story than that, but that's kind of my first impression of what the news looks like today.
1:45.2	Yeah and the media is using him to make ultimatums to Republicans or anybody who
1:51.1	traffics and the ideas that he traffics in.
