Here's the thing, guys. We can't have this argument both ways. I mean, we can't

argue from both directions, but we can't take one side that covers both sides.

And here's what I mean here specifically.

The big push that the Steelers are making very clearly, plainly,

and by the way, verbalized by management is to get to the Super Bowl.

Again, that's the goal.

It's the goal every year.

And I've got no issue with that.

If you go into a camp setting, whether it's OTAs,

mini camp, the main camp in La Trobe,

it's admirable that you want everybody focused, that you want

everybody pursuing a common thing. In the NFL, life is technically 17 weeks long. You might as well

put everything that you have into those 17 weeks. There's no, we'll get them next year, or we're really building toward this or that.

So on one hand, while I'm tempted to say,

hey, why are you, this and that,

it's not a Super Bowl year,

and there's no way you should even be thinking about that

or talking about that or certainly not making moves toward that.

Football's a's off sport.

You do want everybody rowing in the same direction.

And that direction should be winning as many if your games is necessary to get into the playoffs.

Winning as many playoff games as you can.
