Hey guys, welcome to double shot of Steelers. I'm Dan Kovachovich of D.K. Pittsburgh

Sports. He's Chris Hallick, our beat reporter. We were both just over there at OTAs all day long. And as you can see, he's leaving a little

bit later than I did. I wanted to get over here and do the show from the studio. And

Chris hung around to get Mike McCarthy and Aaron Rogers. And it turns out that Rogers ended up making the news of the day.

He sure did. So, and it was at the very big tail end of his press conference, but he's, this is it.

Literally, that's the quote. This is it.

Aaron Rogers will be playing his 22nd and final NFL season with the Steelers.

He talked about how he obviously almost didn't come back because of Mike Tomlin leaving.

But as soon as Mike McCarthy was hired, that intrigued him.

And while that intrigued him to eventually, obviously, come back, sign a contract and play,

he is planning for this to be the final season of his career.

So really kind of cool to reunite with Mike McCarthy to do that. It'll be their 14th season together. But yeah, that's it. Well, here is Rogers

in his own words. Yeah, I love Mike T. I mean, I really appreciate the opportunity to come in last

year and love my experience with him.

And, you know, I thought when he said he was stepping away, that was an emotional moment

just because we all love him so much and care about him.

And, you know, I thought that that was probably it for me in Pittsburgh.

But when decision was made to hire Mike um i said open my mind back up to

coming back two more here did you believe uh this could be your last year or do you think of that

right now yes that's in your last year this is it yeah what if nobody had asked?

That's all I'm thinking when I see that.

What if no one brought it up?
