How much longer can or should they wait? And does it even matter? Good morning to you. Good Monday morning. I'm Dan Kovachewitch of D.K. Pittsburgh Sports. This is Daily Shot of Steelers. It comes your way

here on the show, and the only thing missing from Quarterback Monday for quite a while now,

apparently, is the actual quarterback that the Steelers are intending on using in the 2025 season,

because there's no other way to interpret their signals to date.

They've signed Mason Rudolph, but they also all blew off Michigan Pro Day so they could hang around

Southside and show Aaron Rogers how awesome the facilities are. And I'm sure a lot more than that

over what's known to have been a six-hour cumulative meeting time. But Rogers, of course, left

without signing and with no real word, at least not that's gotten, as to what the next step might be, if any.

A year ago at this time, Russell Wilson had a meeting, same place, same length, interestingly,

six hours, and he too left the building without signing anything.

Two days later, he signed.

Now, however it is that this plays out,

I have a handful of thoughts that might or might not be connected.

But I'm going to share them with you on this quarterback Monday.

One, if Rogers was considering retiring, why go through with visits at all? Think about that. The last thing this man would ever need to see in his life is another football facility,

or to meet with a whole mess of coaches, just to, I don't know, boost the ego or something. One would

imagine that he's serious and that he's looking to play.

Two, if everything's already in line financially, at least from the Steelers' perspective,

as we're led to believe, meaning one year at a fixed amount, one offer has been made.
