Not here to overstate Calvin Anderson's presence on the roster, but I'm not here to understate it either.

this might be the one that I cite for the foreseeable future as the ultimate example of how I don't like to do those things.

But there's also a part of me that would really love for this to become a real issue in about a

month. Hear me out on this. Anderson's 29 years old. He doesn't have a ton of NFL experience,

but he has some. He's been in the league for five

years. In those five years, he's gotten a helmet for 50 games. He started 14 of them, never more than

seven in any season, and only more than three just once in 2022.

With the Steelers last year, he appeared in four games, didn't start any.

So why are we talking about him?

He's just a guy, right?

Well, yeah, I mean, obviously.

But he's also the only guy when you get down to depth at either tackle position.

Yeah, Dylan Cook is still around, but Cook's resume in the NFL makes Anderson's look like he's George Blanda or something.

Anderson's going to be the backup tackle singular at two positions.
