There's no such thing really as a completely set offensive line.

We might think that there was recently, but even that one wasn't.

might have thought that the Steelers drafting two more offensive linemen in the first three

rounds of the most recent draft, as being over the top, I would counter that there can be no

such thing when it comes to that specific

room. A bunch of reasons for that, most of them having to do with the relative importance of the

positions on the line, but also having to do with cap space, the extremes to which money is being

paid out to tackles in particular, but now even

some guards and obviously all along some centers. And you could also say that if you were really

plotting this all the way out, it makes a ton of sense to fortify the line before the quarterback comes along.

You know, the exact opposite way that it happened in Cincinnati. They got Joe Burrow,

they got his leg broken, and then eventually they got around to getting some offensive linemen.

Not enough, not yet. The Steelers could,

coincidentally or otherwise, have themselves a scenario where they draft their franchise quarterback in 2027, or they might have that individual already here under the umbrella in the form of Will Howard or Drew Aller.

But if they don't, they'd certainly be striving to find that individual by next spring's draft.

And either way, one would think that the line is, well, about as set as set gets.
