Penguins versus Jets is tonight at 7.08 p.m. at PPG, Paints Arena, Winnipeg, of course, being just unbelievable

through a quarter of the schedule.

16 and 3 and fresh off just crushing the Stanley Cup champion Panthers 6 to 3.

There's something special happening up in Manitoba. And it's not just the standard stuff when they've gone well in the past. It's been

a few guys getting hot up front, Connor Hellebuck getting hot in the back. That's not this. This is

everything. The Jets are leading the league statistically almost across the board. So logically,

of course, the team that's been arguably the most disappointing in all of hockey, not the worst, but the, I would say it's

fair to characterize the Penguins as most disappointing relative to reasonable expectations,

will continue, apparently, to stick with what doesn't work. And I'm going to be careful

and identify this, hopefully, as plainly as I can,

that one person is not responsible for where the penguins are. Not in the good sense, not in the

bad sense. In fact, even though Matt Griswick is, by at least one significant measure, the league's worst defenseman to date.

He certainly had company in that regard right here in Pittsburgh.
