Canada takes on Finland in the Olympic semi-final at 1040 a.m. Eastern time in Milan, Italy. In the other semi-final at 10.40 a.m. Eastern time in Milan, Italy.

In the other semi that faces off at 3.10 p.m. Eastern time, it'll be the United States and Slovakia.

From the Pittsburgh perspective, I'm positive that most of the eyes will be not on either game necessarily,

but on the announcement that's expected from Hockey Canada before the game this morning as it

relates to Sid. It'll give us the strongest indication yet as to the severity of the

right knee injury he sustained in the

quarters against Chequia. In addition to illustrating yet again how important these games are

to these players, it seems like ever since the NHL committed to being part of the world's largest sporting event,

going back to the 1990s, there's been a back and forth on this every time somebody gets hurt.

As if they couldn't get hurt somewhere else.

As if they wouldn't get hurt if they spent that same part of the calendar playing in the NHL.
