The Penguins will be practicing up in Cranberry this morning, after which they'll head up to Newark.

I'll be headed up to Newark myself later this evening to cover the game against the devils tomorrow night at Prudential Center that'll tell the tale.

Well, not really.

It's an opportunity to clinch.

It's the Penguins first reel in their control opportunity to clinch a Stanley Cup playoff

berth.

Looking forward to covering that.

I see that the devils aren't going to be in much of a mood to fight back.

They got thrashed by the Flyers in that same building.

Last night, 5 to 1.

And with that, New Jersey was eliminated.

But also with that, Philadelphia held on to the third and final metro spot for the playoffs,

which of course would be the one that matches up directly against the Penguins,
