There'd have to be more, like a lot more, to pulling off hockey history and the performance

of any one player.

That's a 7.40 p.m. face-off at Xfinity Mobile Arena.

It represents yet again an opportunity for the penguins to stave off elimination.

This representing the third such opportunity.

Should they prevail for a third consecutive time,

they'd force a game seven back in Pittsburgh on Saturday. To do that, they're going to have to have a lot of things go right. A lot of things

have gone right for them, really, to be fair, over six months.

Not much of that was apparent through the first three games of this series, but it sure has been over the past two.

And one of those is that the NHL's third leading scoring team in the regular season finally

has almost everybody back in peak productive form.

I say almost because it isn't everybody.

Anthony Manta, the team's leading goal scorer, needed four games of doing nothing to show up

in game five in a big way.

Still doesn't have a goal, but had an

enormous primary assist on Elmer Soderblum's Icebreaker the other night. Ben Kindle has no points.
