| 0:05.0 | Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. |

| 0:08.0 | Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for. |
| 0:12.0 | Jesus requested Saint. Faustina to begin a novena to the divine mercy on Good Friday, |
| 0:20.0 | concluding on the first Sunday after Easter, Divine Mercy Sunday. |
| 0:27.2 | We started this novena last Friday, |
| 0:33.0 | and while we go forward, it's important to get to know Faustina, |
| 0:38.0 | where she is a close friend of mine. |
| 0:41.0 | She was born August 25th, 1905 in Poland, and from the age of seven she heard the definite |
| 0:47.9 | call of God. However, she writes, but I was not always obedient to the call of grace. |
| 0:55.9 | And sadly she relates, I came across no one who would have explained these things to me. |
| 1:04.0 | At 17, she begged her parents for permission to enter the convent |
| 1:08.0 | and she got a flat refusal. |
| 1:10.0 | So she turned herself over to the vain things of life, paying no attention to the call of grace, |
| 1:17.0 | even though she found no satisfaction in these things. |
| 1:21.0 | When she was 18, she was at a dance with one of her sisters. |
| 1:26.0 | About what happened next, she writes, |
| 1:29.3 | While everybody was having a good time, My soul was experiencing deep torments. |
| 1:35.8 | As I began to dance, I suddenly saw Jesus at my side. |
| 1:40.5 | Racked with pain, stripped of his clothing, all covered with wounds, and he spoke these words to me. |
