In the first Raqa, I recited in Sulaean, the famous verse,

It's very interesting that in this early ayah,

Allah, subhanna, Tala, praise the believers

for feeding prisoners of war.

At this point in time, as Ibn Abbas said, the prisoners were musheriks.

We're talking about the Quraysh having gone to war in Jahiliya.

The war has nothing to with Islam.

The Qarish going to war with another tribe.

And they take members of this tribe and they make them prisoners in Makkah, as happens in war.

And Allah says, a good believer will share his own food with a prisoner of war that has no ethnic, no religious, no even loyalty because the war is happening for something jahili.
