Can you give someone a second chance when they had already decided that you are not worth

Yeah, so I went out with a guy like a year ago. I thought we had a really good time, but I guess I like misread the situation because he didn't ask me out a second time, but I was like kind of feeling him and I was like in a good place.

So I was like I'm just gonna ask him out myself and I was not expecting him to say no.

But he did.

He said he didn't think we were a good fit and then he didn't really give me any more information.

Like he didn't elaborate at all.

So I didn't really pick up on the fact

that he wasn't enjoying our date.

It seemed like we were having a good time.

So like now I just like don't really know if like I

can trust my instincts or whatever but like fast forward to like a year later and he just

suddenly started texting me out of nowhere. He asked if I wanted to go out on Saturday night and I said yes but now I'm wondering if I should have said no

instead because like I don't know like if he didn't like me the first time why would something have changed like I'm the same I just I don't know should I did him or date him?

Well it's because he's more because he's more desperate now.

He's been out there and it's like things aren't going so well.
