Then in our main segment, Jim tells us the history of Disney's pop-century resort,

which has a birthday coming up to celebrate its opening back in 2003.

Let's get started by bringing in the man who says that Waffle House is just Southern Habbachi.

It's Mr. Jim Hill. Jim, how's it going?

I am so glad you brought up Waffle House because whenever in Nancy and I drive south,

we have to stop. I need my for my car.

I know what you mean. Just ahead of the today's show, I found out there is an actual

Waffle House museum. Yes, it is located at the Avondale Estates in Georgia.

It's actually on the site of the very first restaurant, which opened on Labor Day, 1955.

And you can have the authentic early Waffle House experience if you go to this place.

Jim, I've been in Waffle House's that are frozen in time and believe that I have actually had

the original frozen house. You walk in and it's like the pictures of the menu items that are

on display that are backed by lights are sort of faded to that sort of sepia tinged brown.

It means they've been there since the 70s or earlier and you're like, oh, this is going to be

some good food right here. At some point, ask the cook to show you the spatula. After so many years

of prepping, smashed, crashed, smashed, whatever the hash browns are. In fact, I think even the spatula,
