Well, so quite a flap in Hollywood this past week or so.

We're in the middle of pilot season in the thick of it, and lots of casting, casting, casting, big obsession in Hollywood now, who gets cast, what gets picked up.

And at one of the trades, Deadline ran a piece, attempting to make a point, that what with the success of some shows that feature non-Caucasian actors, such as blackish and most notably empire on Fox.

There is a big drive to get what is called in the business ethnic actors.

And what this article was trying to say is that maybe after years of white actors getting the best of everything and the first cut, maybe the pendulum has swung too far. And now everybody is in this Hollywood feeding frenzy of trying

to cast these quote unquote ethnic actors. And wow, there was quite a backlash, perhaps

unsurprisingly. Yeah, folks like Shonda Rimes went on Twitter and said, well, this article
