And thank you for everyone being here.

The team, staff, family and friends, you're all my friends, so it all works out. So I am so

honored to be speaking to you today for this devotional. And I want to say welcome all of BYU, including Idaho,

Hawaii, BYU, pathway worldwide. And of course, everyone here today. Looking around, I can't

believe that I was a freshman here at BYU 30 years ago. I really don't feel like I'm that old,

but I am, and that's okay. I learned a thing

here too, you know, just along the way and a few things here along the way. And there are a few

things that I want to share with you that I learned at BYU, but not necessarily in the classroom.

You can learn it the hard way through experience. And these were true

back in my day and still hold true today. I hope you don't mind if I share a few of them

to start out my talk. First, the stairs that connect the RB to upper campus are actually

worse than it looks. Yes. I'm still hopeful they'll become escalators one day.

And if you had to walk up these stairs to make it here today, I hope it's worth it, guys.

And number two, just save yourself all the trouble of trying to be creative with parking on campus and buy a parking pass.

Trust me, they check the 15-minute parking spots every 10 minutes.

And finally, don't worry.
