We've been talking about relationship skills that help you strengthen any relationship.

An investment in a relationship takes time.

So remember that all relationships, in order for them to grow, they require,

it's not a nice thing, it's not great if it can happen, but they require time together to

time with. That brings many implications, especially for why you don't spend a lot of time with

unbelievers because you know you're going to grow closer to them and maybe even befriend an

unbeliever in ways that you should not. Rather, you're recognizing that that time together

is a key ingredient to strengthening relationships. Remember the types of relationships that we're wanting to invest in, peer-to-peer, Christ-centered relationships. I need some brothers in Christ that are like, hey, Greg, that's whack. I'm imagining that's what a brother in Christ might say. My brother in Christ would just be like, hey, not cool, man. Hey, be careful with that. That's what my friends would say. So I need those brothers in my

life. They don't see me as Dr. Gifford. They don't care what I've written or published. They see me

as Greg and they see me as a brother in Christ at church. I need those friends and you need those
