My name is Dr. Greg Gifford, and I'm your host, and today we're talking about biblical

counseling and biblical counseling when it comes to instruction for your kids.

This is a really interesting topic, because think of instructing your kids as the guardrail

at the top of the hill.

And when counseling issues come up in a child's life, that's like the ambulance at the bottom of the hill.

Preventative things help us protect our kids from having counseling needs and issues.

And so it's not to say that, hey, if you instruct perfectly, then your child

will have no issues in this life, no, but it is a form of discipleship, and you're equipping

your children for a worldview. I want you to hear me on this one, and I'm very comfortable with

saying this both on transformed or different speaking engagements or teaching engagements, but children that

are 10 and under that have behavioral issues, nine times out of 10, it's coming from the parenting.

It's coming from the environment of that home. And that's not to say there aren't stubborn kids.
