Glad to be here.

Last night, Joe Biden had a really good night and I have a four-part

theory about why that is I'd like to run it by you and and get your thoughts on the

state of the race basically what's going on. I think first of all you look at the

Virginia primary numbers and several hundred thousand maybe 300,000 more

people voted in the Democratic primary than had voted in previous Democratic

primaries.

I'm thinking a lot of those people are, because it was an open primary,

and I don't know how many of these states were open primary states,

but it would be interesting to see if this holds only for open primary states.

But I'm guessing in a lot of those states there are

people who are Republicans or independents who just want somebody to vote for

who's not Donald Trump and are not Democrats and haven't been really following the Democratic

party that closely and they don't know that much about Bernie but they

know that Joe Biden was vice president and he's safe so they're voting

for him so that they can vote for him in the fall, number one.

Number two, I think Jim Clyburn's all in embrace of Joe Biden had a huge effect.

When you look at black voting across the country, Clyburn is a beloved figure.

Number three, during the past week and a half, the coverage of Joe Biden has been wall-to-wall
