So we're reading through book four of the Aeneid, which is about the love affair between Aeneas and Dido and its collapse under the weight of Aeneas destiny.

And the whole time I'm reading this, I'm just thinking like, man, this couple really needs couples therapy.

So last time we talked all about female dysfunction.

We talked to all about the ways in which women, when things go awry, can tend to

have these particular patterns of miscommunicating intentionally, of talking around the problem,

of encouraging one another in bad ideas, in order to be nice to each other out of a misplaced kind of empathy or touchy feeling attitude.

And I said the whole time, don't worry, I'm going to talk plenty about male dysfunction too.

This is not just the hate on women show.

This is the breakdown between the sexes show.

And that's an incredibly major topic right now.

It's something that people are thinking about, talking about all the time.

And it's important that we talk about both at the same time, not just one after the other, but in conjunction.

Because when you hear about the war between the sexes and you hear about, I mean,

you don't even need at this point to cite any particular video or tweet or something. It's

everywhere. You can just always hear people talking about how men and women don't understand

each other. They don't like each other. The Barbie movie, right? Men hate women and women hate

women. That's the one thing we can all agree on, I think, was a famous line from that major blockbuster movie.

This is like this really fraught and increasingly emotional, agitated topic in the world.

And we talk a lot about, well, what's wrong with men?

Are men too lonely? Are men too lonely? Are men too

aggressive? Are men toxic? Are they being mistreated by society? And we talk a lot about what's
