In St. Lucie County, Florida, a jury found Jose Soto Escalera guilty of the murders

of his mistress, Tanya Wise, and their unborn child. Now Jose is back in the courtroom, fighting

for his life as the penalty phase of his trial unfolds. Will the jury spare his life or

recommend he be sentenced to death?

In Memphis, Tennessee, the trial of Brandon Isabel, a man accused of murdering his girlfriend

and then tossing their two-day-old baby into the Mississippi River. According to investigators,

Brandon admitted to killing Baby Kennedy and her mother because he didn't want a child.

And today, the victim's mother takes the stand. But first, in Riley, Mississippi, Jeffrey Spence is on trial accused of murdering his daughter's boyfriend during a robbery.

Prosecutors say he plotted with his wife and their daughter to kill Kirby Carpenter.

The defendant's daughter, Caitlin, already pleaded guilty to her part in the plot and will testify against her father as part of a plea agreement.
