the Mississippi River. According to investigators, Brandon admitted to the killing of Kennedy

and their baby because he didn't want a child. What more will we learn from today's opening statements?

Plus, a South Carolina man accused of keeping four vulnerable people captive in his basement

for a decade, abusing them and stealing their money until allegedly one of those prisoners

died from the abuse.

Now we're learning more about the case against Donnie Ray Birchfield Jr.

But first, for more than a decade, the Gilgill Beach murders cast a long dark shadow over Long Island,

leaving a community haunted by unanswered questions.

In July 23, the shroud began to lift as authorities apprehended a suspect whose

unassuming facade seemed to contradict the horrors attributed to him. An architect charged with the
