A couple days after Dan Hurley turned down the Lakers, the news around the NBA is still very much centered around the fact that Dan Hurley turned down the Lakers. Everything about the story, from how it has been covered and who broke what (i.e. Woj vs. Shams) to big questions about the Lakers brand, the competence of the Lakers front office and where they turn from here -- all of it is dominating the proverbial discourse. At least the Lakers are pushing the Celtics off the front page. But what exactly happened, here? To get a better feel from how this whole thing played across the country, we spoke with Mark Zanetto, host of Locked On UConn. He gave his perspective on whether Hurley was genuinely interested in the Lakers job, or whether he was just playing the team to leverage a bigger deal from the University.
