Well, happy Hanukkah. Merry Christmas and happy new year. We're wrapping up the year, though, coming into 2026. And guess what? We just wrapped up the era of the ESPN era for the UFC. And then we had our last fight last weekend. Now, I've been traveling. I've been traveling all around the U.S. driving my ass everywhere. And Angela, I know how much he loves to drive because, you know, his wife drives him everywhere, which I can understand why he would love to drive because his wife drives him everywhere. Yeah, I enjoy the drive. The passenger seat and play on my phone. I'm not, I'm not wrong in that situation. You want some false sense of manhood like, oh, I would never let my wife drive me around. Enjoy being inconvenienced. I get to chill in the passenger seat and just play on my phone.

Not a care in the world. Feet up. Actually, I'm too tall for that. But not a care in the world. Snacks, phone. It's, oh, God, it's so nice. You know, it's funny is there are so many things that I feel like I need to get done while I'm driving. I'm like, man, I could really take this time to be on my phone, but you can't.

the roads were getting a little slick. I was getting a little nervous. I'm like, man, and then fog coming into California, coming over the, over Pacheco Pass. It's just little things like that. And I did let my wife finally drive. And it just so happened. Like she hit the foggiest part. And all of a sudden, I was wide awake.

Oh, because you didn't trust her?

Uh-uh, uh-uh. No way. Oh, man. It's just, I'm like, just let me drive. Just let me drive. So, um, look, we ended the era over the weekend. But did it feel, because you and I were talking about this, it felt so anti-cligmatic.

It was just, eh, the big, yeah, like you said, they went out with a whimper.

Don't get me wrong.

I thought some of the fights were really damn good.

They were fantastic.

But then you just had the last pay-per-view.

Do you felt like they should have went out on a pay-per-view?

I mean, well, first of all, this schedule was set long before they knew what was going to happen, right? They might have stayed on ESPN when the schedule was set. So the schedule was set long ago, and I don't think they thought that through, meaning I don't think it was a conscious decision to say,

we're ending on a fight night or a paper.

I think it was just this is the schedule because I think they have these mapped out six months in advance.

So that was before they announced what they were going to do and they negotiated it to ESPN

up until the last second.

So obviously going out with the pay-per-view would have been a more meaningful goodbye to the year and to ESPN up until the last second. So obviously going out with a pay-per-view would have been a more meaningful goodbye to the year

and to ESPN, let alone a mediocre apex fight night, where last year, the year ended on a

fight night, but a regional fight night.
