Summary

It’s three months since the 29-year-old journalist Lyra Mckee was killed in a riot in Northern Ireland. Her death shocked the world and there were calls for politicians in Northern Ireland to unite. But since then the assembly in Stormont still hasn't sat. There has, though, been some progress on things Lyra felt passionate about – same sex marriage is likely to be made legal and abortion laws liberalised. We went to Londonderry to speak to Lyra’s partner Sara Canning, who took us on a tour and introduced us to other campaigners. 0:54.0	So you pass from one area to the next and people are displaying which side of the divide they're on.
1:02.0	It's weird, isn't it? you sort of think that this is all in the past and it's not.
1:09.5	I was really struck by the division that you see literally from neighborhood to neighborhood.
1:15.6	I suppose if you don't live in Northern Ireland then it feels like the conflict
1:20.0	there ended 20 years ago when the peace process brought about the Good Friday Agreement.
1:25.6	But then three months ago a young journalist was shot dead at a riot in Darry.
1:31.8	That journalist was called Lira McKee and the reason that I went to the city
1:36.1	that she was living in was to meet her partner Sarah Canning. She's a funny
1:40.6	person, she's a very warm person, she's a positive person.
