Summary

Jake and I kick things off with life updates, including his big winnings at the casino, an influencer event I actually enjoyed, a running injury update, and a Taylor Swift debate. Then we get into listener questions about dating when conversations feel one-sided, wondering if you’re being too picky on early dates, and what to do when you end things with a genuinely nice guy and immediately regret it.

Let's rock and roll.

0:02.3

Hey guys, welcome back to another episode of Co-hosts for Life.

0:06.3

I'm Alana.

0:07.8

And this is the Monday episode of the week where the two of us talk about whatever's going on in our lives.

0:13.1

I don't like that intro.

0:14.1

Let's do that again.

0:16.7

I feel like the cold intros are weird.

0:18.6

I like when we're talking about something first.

0:20.7

Okay. Does this count? I think this counts. I've talked about this before, but Jared, a lot. A lot. It took 30 seconds for him to mention Jared today. That's a new record. It's because, so we just recorded and a lot I didn't like the starting of the recording. And so we were going to start over and do like a cold recording. And I've been listening to Jared obviously a lot like I do. Jared freed for those who are new here. And he has been doing this a lot lately where he starts and stops. And he says it on the podcast. He goes, I just did this intro four times. I couldn't find the right word, so he restarted.

1:13.1

He's not the first podcast starting to do that, Jake. I've done that. I'm just saying he talks about it when it happens. We keep it real. He actually had one yesterday where it happened in the middle of the podcast. And he goes, I don't really know where I left off. So I'm going to say this. and maybe I said this already on the podcast, which he did, but it's okay.

1:13.7

Okay.

1:15.7

Thank you, Jake, for that.

1:20.0

This is really just a recap of Jared's podcast. Yeah, this is the podcast. This is co-host for life, the episode of seeing other people where we talk about what Jared Freed said on his podcast

1:24.1

this week. It's like that, it's like that TikTok, um, talk to, talking talk toa. You know that. I know. I only know who she is because of you. So there's the hawk toa girl who's like since been canceled. Has she? What happened? I don't know. She like made like a meme coin or something and like stole a bunch of people's money and then like has vanished off the earth. Yikes. Yeah. So she had a podcast called I guess Talk Tua and then there were these people on TikTok who would talk about talk toa. It would be a talking talk toa and they would just recap the podcast episode. And how many of those would you watch? Well, they weren't doing it. It was just like a, it was just a bit or series on TikTok. You know, they weren't doing a full podcast of the podcast. They were doing a clip of being like, on today's talk toa. They went into what they did on Friday night. And it was really, like, you know, like, you know, funny. Imagine someone doing that about us. Yeah, I mean, it's kind of similar. I mean, there was an S&L skit a couple weeks ago about the kids with the podcast. Did you see this? No. I'm convinced. You're so out of it. So convinced that our algorithms are connected.

2:34.8

I mean, it's S&L.

2:36.2

And Jake's algorithm is telling my algorithm, don't show Alana anything that we show Jake

2:42.6

so that she feels stupid like she lives under a rock whenever he talks about anything.

2:47.1

I mean, it was an S&L skit.

2:48.3

I'm not like the one person who saw that.

2:50.2

In this situation, that is more mainstream. And the Hawke to a girl is like the most famous person of probably 2025. Okay, well, I don't know. I literally would not have heard of her without you. But so on the S&L skit, they, I guess there's these kids that do a podcast and they did a parody of the kids doing a podcast. It's fine. I'll show you after. Okay, cool. Well, now that that's out of the way. If Vassanelle did a skid of us, yes, they definitely never would. No, absolutely not. Now that we've covered all of that, welcome back to GoHost for Life. I'm Alana. He's Jake. If you're new here, thank you so much for being here. This is the episode on Mondays of seeing other people where we talk about what's going on in our lives. Today, we're actually going to be answering a few listener questions that we hoped to touch on last week, but did not get to because we ended up going down that rabbit hole of the Spotify wrapped numbers, the podcast and how I've been

3:41.6

feeling lately. I do want to say thank you so much. A handful of you guys reached out and,

3:46.9

you know, just shared your thoughts on it and thanked me for being so open. And I appreciate that.
