Summary
Mississippi State got another quality start from LHP Ethan Small (3-0) in a 6-5 victory over LSU in game one of the three game series against the Tigers.
The Bulldogs blasted three home runs off of LSU ace Zach Hess and got a four out save from closer Cole Gordon.
The two teams will get together again later today for game two. That contest will be broadcast on the SEC Network.
The Mississippi State women are set to play Arizona State tonight with a trip to the regional final on the line.
