Welcome to the Boneyard with Steve Robertson, as always. I am your good friend and host Steve Robertson here on the Monday edition of the yard. It is raining again here in Stargland, Mississippi. One of the wettest beginnings to a year that I can ever remember. It seems like that it is always wet.

It seems that the ground is always super saturated. And it kind of fits our mood today after a very difficult day yesterday.

And even really dating back to Saturday, wasn't a great weekend for Mississippi State.

Totally. We had a good baseball weekend.

Huge, huge baseball series win over an Oregon state team that was ranked 25th.

They're missing some pieces from a year ago, but I think everybody realized this is a big

win for state. They will be in the NCAA baseball tournament. You've got a couple of

wins under your belt. Now you've got a series win, a sweep of override state who will likely

win the Horizon League. And now you have a series win over Oregon State who is also expected

to be an NCAA tournament team. So these are two teams

that will likely help boost the Mississippi State RPA as the season kind of moves forward.

Five and one mark, I think most people, when the schedule came out, said, you know what,

if we can find a way to beat Oregon State, we'll be really, really happy. Well, here we are.

But it doesn't feel like we're happy. You know what I'm saying? It's like it always, and Lamontas touched on it yesterday. Man, when you win those first two, you really, really, really want to sweep. It's one of those things like if you win the Friday game, lose Saturday, one on Sunday, you've got that Sunday jubilation.

But we've been there

before.

But the

bottom line is

we did

take care of business. We learned some things both good and bad about our team over the weekend. I like this team. We're going to get into a lot more of that later in the show, a lot to talk about.
