Whatever's going on in your life, I hope nobody's eating your lunch. You know, life is tough, right? But the reality of it is, life's beautiful. It is. Got a lot to talk about today a lot of baseball

stuff for sure and you know today is the traditional national signing day

Mississippi State not expected to send anybody to a scholarship but in the

process you know that and you know a player too you know you'll have you know some

preferred walk-ons I guess that'll that'll have a signing day ceremony but you

know not be it's a different dynamic these days but I remember you know I

kind of wrote about this this morning you know National signing day used to

essentially be a national holiday.

You know, I don't know if you guys recall, you know, down at LSU, they do what's called the Bayou

bash, and they would get together and basically drink all day and, you know, run out some

country club, and then people would sit around as the Sionese came in,

and they would celebrate those.

And then later in the evening, you know, the head coach would come and address the drunken masses.

But, you know, it's a different dynamic.

Maybe they did that in December.

I don't know, but it was always a big deal to go to what the Cajun folks called, you know, debash, you know.

So it's changed the dynamic a lot.

I tell you guys, and if you listen to this show for a while, I was not in favor of the December signing period.

And, you know, it was a couple of reasons why.

Number one, the pressure to sign early is tremendous.

You know, that's the expectation if you commit,

you're expected to sign in December.
