As always, I am your good friend and host Steve Robertson.

On a bit of a somber Monday, I'm late getting to show up today because I had to travel back home to Columbia, Mississippi to say goodbye to another friend.

I think I shared with you guys a couple weeks ago how difficult it was,

but, you know, here we are. You know, here we are. A couple things I want to say about that

before we get too deep into the show. I don't know how long we go today because I am emotionally

exhausted, but the show must go on. That's my attitude. I don't allow my, uh, personal life to interfere with my

professional life when I can help it. Uh, so here we are. But, uh, I guess really two people I want

to talk to. Uh, number one, I'd like to speak to, uh, those of you that have lost someone to suicide.

It's like most days people are afraid to kind of call it for what it is, but it is what it is.

Number one, it's not your fault. It's not your fault.

And I've had several friends that have passed away of suicide.

I share with you guys how deeply hurt I was when Grant Fontenot,

my good friend from Baton Rouge,

I like to take his own life.

But it's not your fault.

And I've had to say that a lot lately.

It's one of those things that you never get over, you just kind of get on with.

But I want to share with you that there is a lesson in all this, and I think one of the most important ones is we remain alive to tell their story.

And that's the complete story, not just the ending, but the complete story.

And as I shared with some young people, you know, it is up to you now to carry the lessons

learned from your father to your own children about life, good, bad, and indifferent.
