| 0:49.8 | And I offer these talks in the context of the national and U.S. elections next week, |

| 1:03.5 | and the sense of conflict and maybe impending conflict that might be coming. |
| 1:10.3 | And I offer it with confidence that it's not necessary to succumb to despair or succumb to |
| 1:20.8 | paralyzing fear or to hatred, ill will. We can be confident, I want us all to be confident |
| 1:34.4 | that we can make a difference to make this world a better place. And if we can do so in small ways, we can do so in small ways. |
| 1:47.5 | We can do it in our communities, |
| 1:49.3 | with our friends, our neighbors. |
| 1:52.0 | And of course, it's nice to do it more widely. |
| 1:56.0 | Nice to go out and, you know, there's people who are going out in all kinds of political parties |

| 2:12.2 | election and other candidates and things like that. There's ways of lobbying governments. There's all kinds of ways of |
| 2:23.0 | changing the world. But for me, the most important is that we start with ourselves. We don't |

| 2:40.0 | there were people who were very active in the anti-Vietnam war |
