I have a little ho-

I seem to have a little hoarseness and this morning it's possible from traveling

yesterday and possible from allergies the last week or so.

Team sense that goes away, usually goes away after a while in the morning.

So this morning, being Monday, I'd like to start a new series of teachings and I'll do that for the next two weeks so it's a 10-part series and it's 10 areas of reflection for a

darma life and so each of these days will be giving one of those 10.

And I'm hoping that the words I say will inspire you to think, reflect on these concepts.

I'll be offering my own ideas about these concepts as a go along,

but I don't want to offer them as being

the definitive presentation.

This is what these things can be.

But rather I want to bring up some things

that you then will reflect on on your own and come up with ideas for yourself,

how it works for you.

And these ten qualities, these, reflections are being adapted from my studies of chaplaincy, spiritual care that's done in the world of chaplaincy of

hospitals and prisons and all kinds of other places that chaplains work and

chaplains have a particular orientation, especially since they're

inter-faith chaplains. They're not looking for particular religious ideas, but they're looking for spiritual qualities or characteristics that are

central to people's lives that they want to address, because often chaplains are meeting people at times of
