| 0:30.0 | to be attuned to our own suffering, |
| 0:34.0 | means not to simply experience it in the usual way, |
| 0:39.0 | or experiencing the ways that are challenging for us, |
| 0:44.0 | but to engage in a process where being attentive to suffering |
| 0:50.0 | is for our betterment and leads the betterment of the world. |
| 0:54.0 | And one of those ways is to be attuned to suffering, |
| 0:58.0 | being in harmony with it, to find a balance with it. |
| 1:02.0 | So, we're using this acronym touch, |
| 1:07.0 | which seems very nice for compassion, |
| 1:11.0 | to be compassionate means to be touched by the suffering, |
| 1:16.0 | and this idea being touched in some deep way, |
| 1:19.0 | it's kind of tender, it's kind of loving, |
| 1:22.0 | it's kind of like we get touched by the things that are important for us, |
| 1:25.0 | that we value, that move us. |
| 1:28.0 | And then in return to touch others, |
| 1:34.0 | not literally, maybe, but to touch others with our kindness, |
| 1:39.0 | with our support. |
