0:12.8 | So, hello and welcome to this Monday beginning of the week, continuity, continuation of |
0:27.6 | samadhi, the theme of samadhi. |
0:32.6 | And today, this week, we begin the fourth Janna, which is in some ways of understanding the deepest of the janas. |
0:46.8 | Sometimes there's a list of eight janas, but in the teachings of the Buddha, the final four, he calls the four bases, the four kind of fields, maybe. |
1:07.3 | And the what's called Janna is reserved for just these first four. |
1:13.6 | But then colloquially, people have, because these are the next four, even deeper states, |

2:55.3 | ultimate purpose of going through these Jannas. It's not, the purpose is not the Jannas themselves. |
3:03.0 | So we're going to be a little bit careful not to overvalue the importance of these. They serve a purpose, and the purpose is freedom. |
