The NBA used to sit out the Monday of the national championship game and hand it to the NCAA championship game.

Do you guys remember that?

I kind of don't.

What?

Now that you say that, I do.

I think I just always was watching the national championship game, so I never even considered the NBA.

That's a great point in perspective from a lot of people, which is, yeah, I never thought

about it because there was no NBA games.

I wasn't going to watch it anyway.

As an NBA geek, they used to sit it out.

And then if I'm not mistaken in the last couple of years, they'd have a game, maybe two games.

There's a full slate tonight.

And so the NBA has told college basketball, go screw.

We're going to put a slate of games on and we're not bowing down to anything.

You're a schmuck.

And I wonder if this is about the TV deals.

Like tonight's Knicks game is on NBC Peacock as well as MSG. So you have an option tonight? And I wonder if it's the new TV deals saying, hey, we're not bowing out. Like we have a package. We're not sitting out on Monday night, the final Monday night of the regular season. No, you're going to have a game. But that jumped out of me because I was like assuming, it was about a week ago when I was assuming this, that, oh, there'll be no NBA on Monday night. Oh, there's no Mets. There's no Yankees. Perfect. It's just college basketball. And then I saw that there was like a full slate of NBA games and I was deeply confused. So yeah, the NBA has recently decided that they don't believe in tradition anymore.

Well, I don't mind. You don't care. I don't care. Exactly. I think some people will, but do you really? Like, do you care? A little bit I do. I'll tell you why. Well, first of all,

you know I love the NBA. I watch every Nick game as much as I may hate watch them.

I do watch every single Nick's game.

And I'm going to watch the national title game.

I'm intrigued by the national title game.
