My name is Rye, I'm known as the Mastizo Mystic on Instagram. I live in San Francisco, California and

I'm always told by my mom that like as a kid I would cry because I'd say I used to like see spirits and she and my godmother would tell me to just

pray them away which apparently I did at that work and I don't have distinct memories of

those things happening but it's just funny to hear that coming from my family as an adult

of like, oh wow, this has just been an integral part of my life from the very

beginning. And so it was interesting because as I got older and started to become aware of my queer identity, I started to like shift towards this dissociation from Catholicism and during that time I dived into very new age of practices, you know, crystals, meditation, you know, vibrations and frequencies and things of the sort. And then my life really took a big spin when I started praying

the rosary again after reading the book The Way of the Rose and it brought me in

a way back to Mary it wasn't my intention to come to Mary and it just it brought me to her and as

also brought me closer to the Santa Muarte because I learned how to pray her rosary as well.
