It seems to me that the rest of the Old Testament rightly evaluates the relative degree of

heinousness of the sins that Israelites commit.

Deuteronomy 9 through 11. In summary, we talked about our willful inability to perform open heart surgery on ourselves, right? That was kind of an amalgam of quotes from both of you. What does that mean? Well, you should listen to last week's episode if you haven't already. Now, I have a bit of a confession to make because when we were planning today's episode, you know, I texted our friends because, you know, my eyes looked forward to kind of

see what was ahead. And, and I saw stuff about unclean foods and sabbatical years and

passovers and cities of refuge, of course. And I thought, okay, well, we've kind of covered most of this

already. So, so let's just forge ahead. And so I texted, I texted Jim and Sam on our little

group chat. And I said hey guys

you just want to try to do 12 through 26 kind of in one fell swoop and immediately like probably

within 25 seconds I get a response from Jim that says no which was in O with eight O's and six

exclamation points he said there's so much there. And so here we are.

Going slowly, more slow than I. Hallelujah. I thought we may. You know, my first semester teaching at the

Houston campus of the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, the dean of the campus was a holdover

from the moderate era. And he said, well, what class do you want to? Are you about to compare me to a moderate? No, no, no, no, no, no. I'm kidding. Go ahead. He said, what class do you want to teach?

And I said, well, I'd like to teach an English Bible class on Deuteronomy. And he was like, well,

I could see why students would sign up for Psal. But we had a great time together in class.
