We begin with some breaking news tonight.

A verdict has been reached in the scattered remains murder trial down in Florida.

Just moments ago, the jury found Daniel Stearns guilty of second-degree murder with a firearm

for shooting and killing his girlfriend, Nancy Howery, then scattering her scattering her remains will bring you the defendant's

reaction to this verdict later this hour but first.

In May of 2021, four-year-old Cash Gernan was abducted from his crib while sleeping next to his twin brother.

Hours later, his body was discovered nearby, gravely wounded.

The accused was an 18-year-old named Darren Brown, a troubled young man who had previously spent time in the house where the abduction took place.

Brown was charged with capital murder, kidnapping, and burglary and was facing the death penalty.

And now on the eve of trial, Brown took a deal from prosecutors sparing his life.

Tonight we have the latest from court, including victim impact statements.

But first, Mark Sanchez, once a star at USC, whose arm led the New York Jets to playoff runs

after being picked fifth overall in the 2009 NFL draft parlayed a 10-year gridiron

career into a media persona analyst broadcaster and personality but this weekend his name

hit headlines not for a touchdown pass but for a violent confrontation in downtown Indianapolis.

Late Saturday night, Sanchez was involved in an altercation with a 69-year-old truck driver servicing a hotel.
