Hello and welcome to the first 2026 episode of telling everybody everything. And today,

Monday, January 5th, Bobby and I dropped both Fred and Fennett at the same school. And I could

not wait to get rid of them. And I've never thought I'd be the kind of parent to say that.

When I wrote The Duchess, which is available on Netflix, I think it came out five years ago, maybe four, and it was a single mother with one daughter, I had seen a lot of parents portrayed as being annoyed by their kids, being inconvenienced

by their kids, wanting time away from their kids. And I could never really place myself in their

shoes or relate to that sentiment. I just never wanted to be away from Violet. She never bothered me.

But these damn kids, Fred, Fena, and Holland, though less so,

it's not her fault. She's 11 weeks. It just never stops. Like, these damn kids are spoiled.

I don't believe you can spoil a baby. I think you should hold them and love them and lift them.

And I have not put that infant down in her entire life for more than like 20 minutes at a time.

But Fred and Fana, like, this is the issue with being in a marriage is that you are not the solo parent.

You parent with someone else. They might not do everything the way that you want.

And kids are smart and they'll play you off one another. So Bobby is such a good dad, but he's soft and he's

sweet and he's kind and he's giving Fennah at the minute, especially so much leeway. He's like,

well, you know, she's had a lot of changes. She's gone from being the baby

to now, like, she has to start school and she's a middle sister and like she's a three-nager on top of it.

So he just, he gives her so much grace, pun intended, for being a pure asshole at the minute.

And I don't think that you should shout at small children

or punish small children necessarily.

You know, Bobby could very well be a better parent than I am,

though unlikely because I've been a parent for a long time.

I'm not perfect.
