0:36.2	Today is a special day for the show. Derek Sivers is here,
0:42.6	and I am going to tell you about why that is so significant and special in just a bit. But first,
0:48.8	I do want to report to long-time listeners. I'm not going to take a lot of time to do like a major check-in
0:56.1	like I sometimes do. I don't want to get between you and today's conversation. However,
1:03.2	if you have been listening in, then you know some weeks back when things were looking at their
1:09.4	most bleak for me, I, in a desperate rampage,
1:15.1	applied for every potential pandemic assistance that I might qualify for. And over the last few
1:24.2	weeks, I've been talking about that and really feeling very cynical about it
1:30.1	and not having faith in our institutions that they would help me at all.
1:37.3	And then this week, two out of the three things that I applied for went through.
1:43.6	So I was approved and funded for a PPP loan.
1:48.3	And then I also got processed for the unemployment assistance for gig workers that they legislated.
1:56.4	And it's been huge.
1:59.1	I mean, that loan, it made up for the losses over the last several months.
2:05.5	And then now the unemployment assistance is some money coming in through the end of the year.
2:12.4	And of course, now that I've gotten that assistance, I feel guilty about it.
2:18.6	Like there's lots of other people who probably need help more than me, who aren't getting help.
