I always a weird feeling the day after the NBA Finals have ended that there's not another game.

There's nothing else to analyze until the offseason in the draft so much still to do,

but it definitely is a line of demarcation in our lives that everyone else is that there is not just a basketball game to analyze every night,

but certainly much more to discuss, including on the two teams that were just in the NBA Finals.

I give you first pick here today.

We're going to talk Denver or Miami.

I think let's have the champs go first.

Can give Denver that honor if you will.

And Denver's offseason is remarkably straightforward.

That is a good thing when you are the newly minted champions.

And that is because almost every single player in Denver's regular playoff rotation is already under contract for the 23-24 campaign.

Yochitch Murray, Michael Porter, Jr. Aaron Gordon, Contabius, Caldwell, Pope, Christian Brown, all under contract.

So the only two guys who really played it all who are not are Jeff Green and Bruce Brown.

That is naturally where we start.

And so to kind of walk through their finances, the Denver Nuggets are right around the luxury tax line.

So being right around the tax line without Bruce Brown at all means that whatever additions they have are going to raise their tax bill.

And for the Cronkeys, it's also very hard for them to shed salary.

All the guys who make over $4.3 million on this team played an important role.

And many of them are on below market contracts.

So I expect them to be remarkably similar to next year.

And that means that the key discussion is Bruce Brown.

Yeah, Jeff Green is the other one there.
